Program: Once you arrive, there will be some tame animals, which will help us get acquainted with one another. We’ll visit parts of the zoo, and will feed and get to know some of the animals. We’ll watch the caretakers at work, and we will see how they manage to put the giraffe to bed. From inside an enclosure we’ll take a look at the visitors and see them from the animals’ perspective. We’ll prepare dinner at the camp fire, bake some camp bread, play games, sing, and form groups that will be staying in a tent together. During the night we’ll visit some animals that are active at night, as well as some that are sleeping. We will go to sleep and get up early in the morning to observe the animals as they are waking up. After exercising with the gibbons in the morning, we’ll have a bear’s breakfast and a morning wash – visiting the bears for breakfast and the elephants for a shower. We’ll participate in the school for caretakers. Upon departure we’ll “wrap” the elephant into a box and send greetings to our homes.

What you’ll need: Sleeping bag, flashlight, appropriate clothes and footwear, warm extra clothing.

Who it is intended for: Organized groups of all ages, 8 to 12 year-old children, adults and families.

Dates: Every Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m. until 12 a.m. the following day.

This program takes place if a sufficient number of participants have booked this event in advance.

Larger groups are welcome!

We’ll adjust the program to the age of the participants as well as to the situation at Ljubljana Zoo at the time of the event. Therefore, minor changes to the program are sometimes made.
