How to get here?

The Ljubljana Zoo is situated at the southern part of the regional park Tivoli - Rožnik - Šišenski hrib. You can get there from the Ljubljana bypass, from Šiška or from downtown Ljubljana.

From the bypass – this access is marked and is the easiest. At the exit #16 – Brdo, you leave the bypass and follow the road signs leading you to Ljubljana Zoo.

From the railway station – you turn onto Slovenska street. You drive towards Kongresni trg (Congress square). At the intersection with Šubičeva street you turn right towards the Slovene parliament and continue towards Prešeren street. At the next traffic lights at the intersection with Erjavčeva street you turn right and drive past the underpass on 27. April street, along Večna pot for another 1.5 km. The Ljubljana Zoo is located on the right hand side.
 
From Šiška – at the intersection where the LPP  (Bus Company) building is located, you turn right from Celovška street onto Šišenska street. You drive along this street past three intersections with traffic lights until you reach Večna pot. At the last traffic lights you continue your way along Večna pot for another 2 km. You will see Ljubljana Zoo on your left hand side.

Getting there by Zoo bus (this information is valid for the calendar year 2009):

From May 1, 2011 to October 1, 2011 you can get to the Zoo riding the  city bus, which runs along the route from the railway station (Kolodvor) to the Zoo and back.

This bus line offers connecting services at the bus stops Trg osvobodilne fronte (Kolodvor) – Slovenska street – Šubičeva street – Prešernova street – Erjavčeva street – 27. April street – Večna pot Zoo, making it a very useful line when visiting other places or connecting to other bus lines within the Ljubljana bus company LPP.
